The original version of FOR SARAH is much better. It's called MILADY with lyrics by Ray Errol Fox. Steinman stole the tune for Dance of the Vampires, from their earlier collaboration The Confidence Man. If you do that version, I will make you a planet for YOU to keep. Please - I AM BEGGING YOU - don't sing the wrong version: For Sarah. It would be too painful for all of us

I adore for sarah, but I know what version you're talking about.
stick with DOTV. It can do no wrong.

No. You have to do the original song MILADY, because that's where it belongs. If you do FOR SARAH, you join Steinman in becoming a criminal - and Ray's lyrics are so much better

rockfenris, do you suffer from some sort of bi-polar disorder or something? i only see you post whenever the topic is DOTV in some fashion. and you used to honor jim steinman like a god. Now, in this post and the DOTV one, you seem to be bashing the man left and right. You also praised Michael Crawford in your other post. Earlier this year, I saw your disturbing website about how much you hated him. it was scary. truly. whats the deal?
if they guy wants to sing for sarah, let him sing for sarah.

My disturbing website? I think you're confusing me with Smeghead? I never praised Crawford. I never insulted Steinman, but I do not condone the fact that he recycles so much

If you are still looking for the sheet music, go to www.soundofmusic.de
this is an online shop specialized in musicals. The have the sheet music of the show (highlights) in German. Do a search for "Tanz der Vampire" and you will find it on the second page. It is called "Noten Tanz der Vampire".
There is also a cd with vocals and playbacks of that show. Just in case you are interested

The song will never sound as good without Aris Sas' accent.

He's playing Johnny Stark (the Bobby Strong role; several names were changed) in "Pinkelstadt, das Musical" in Berlin right now -- so I suppose if you can find out that address, you're all set. And he's fluent in English, so no worries there. ![]()
This is Pinkelstadt, always has been Pinkelstadt...

Posted: 12/16/04 at 5:59amOh, wonderful. I always had the impression he spoke no English (judging from the For Sarah demo). I have the video of Tanz der Vampire from Vienna and he's absolutely incredible!
