Okay, I'd love to see it get recorded too, but THIS IS ENOUGH. WHY DON'T YOU FREAKING FINANCE A RECORDING STUDIO SESSION WITH THE CAST AND MAKE YOU'RE OWN FREAKING CD!!
You have more of a chance of Dracula having an OBC than you do for GV
If shows like La Cage go unrecorded, there is no way on Gods green earth GV will get a cast album
"Why would anyone want a cast album to this show when they could buy a Beach Boys compilation CD, which would have the same songs performed with a lot more artistry."
Thats like asking why record Mamma Mia or Movin' Out or TOMMY for that matter..... They record them because of the arrangements, the new voices, the way they have been altered to fit the show.
Although i really dont think that recording Good Vibrations would be a good idea, as far as finances are concerned, the aggression from a lot of the posters here is kinda harsh.
I would suggest not posting about this for a while and wait to see what happens.
And on other thing - Bryan's just excited about the show. Even if you dont like the show, at least respect the fact that people can like whatever shows no matter how good or bad they are.
Thanks for setting me straight about the number of previous posts. I thought this was only the second. I can see why so many posts might get annoying to people. On the other hand, I'd like to see a bit more niceness from folks here and a bit less meanness to those we've never met. The best way to deal with a post like Bryan's (if you don't like it) is by not responding. That way it will quickly disappear. That being said, I realize that this post will push it back to the top. Sorry about that.
It's okay. We're just all a bit irritated here.

Actually, I'm kind of confused as to why anyone would want those CDs as well...

I didn't think I was going to want the Movin Out CD until I saw it and then realized that I really wanted the songs just as they were played and sung in the show. I was surprised it made that much of a difference to me, but hey!
Lee, you bug! Have you heard those recordings. I quite enjoy Mamma Mia and Movin' Out and Tommy are great!
