maybe your time begging for a recording would be better spent writing letters to the theatre, producers, etc. and just stop telling us...cuz there aint nothing any of us can do for you (unless someone on heres a trillionaire and is willing to finance the recording of a show doing so poorly)

No, his time would be better spent making a mix CD of Beach Boys songs.

Crap, bryan!!! If it really means that much to you, why don't you write to people associated with the show, like producers??? Do you NOT understand that we get your point? You DO NOT need to make a million posts about a GV CD, no matter how much it means to you. Good Lord, we know you want a GV CD, but no matter how many times you post it here, nothing is going to happen...bring it up to the people who actually care. I wouldn't mind a GV cast recording, but we get the freakin' point!!!! I know I am just wasting my time typing this because you are going to continue anyway because you can't read it in plain English. Do you need someone to translate it into German, Spanish, or French. Perhaps gibberish???

Bryan, I'm very sorry that you have been subjected to such utter nastiness here. I checked your profile and this is only the second posting in which you asked about a Good Vibrations recording. These rude and uncalled-for responses are the one real negative about the Message Board. The other posters are probably right that you need to express your feelings to people who would be making decisions, but I can see that you were also trying to drum up support, and there's nothing wrong with that. As to muscialfandukie's " ya all shows should get cast albums so it's fair!!! haha...are we in 5th grade bryan?? i dont think theatre works like that," it was not only insulting but uninformed. Yes, there was a time a few years back when yes, pretty much all shows were recorded. It's only fairly recently that because of financial considerations, this issue is even being debated. And if a brand new CD of Brooke Shields' 4-month stint in Wonderful Town was recorded, I don't think you're asking to much to want the same thing done for Good Vibrations. Simply because it's Beach Boy music, I would think there would be a fairly sizable market for the CD out there, regardless of the quality of the show its. I can't apologize for people who wouldn't do it themselves, but I do think you are due one.

Why would anyone want a cast album to this show when they could buy a Beach Boys compilation CD, which would have the same songs performed with a lot more artistry. Brian, if you went out and bought a Beach Boys album, you might see why it is that so many people here don't like "Good Vibrations."

I'm with you Bryan, I have and I know many, many others have been asking also. I know letters have been written. I would not worry too much. I'm fairly sure a cast albulm will be made. Having grown up with the Beach Boys Music, I think the cast did an awesome job with the music. They have brought new life to the songs with out changing the original greatness. I probably worded that funny, but hopefully you'll get what I mean. Those who KNOW music are in agreement about that. It was also great to see that Good Vibrations was one of only 2 shows to be up for the week of 2/28-3/6. If you haven't seen the show Bryan I hope you get a chance.

"Yes, there was a time a few years back when yes, pretty much all shows were recorded."
No there have been alot of shows from years ago never recorded. they might make less cast recordings now then they did then..but you can't say that there was a time when pretty much all shows got recorded.
and also i was not trying to be rude to bryan i just thought how he was expressing his views were kinda childish..life isn't fair not all shows can get recorded it would be nice maybe if they were yes.

eslgr8, he's been regularly posting about "saveing cast albums" since October at least (maybe longer, but I stopped searching), and over the past few months has focused on Good Vibrations specifically. That's almost all he posts about. It would make more sense for him to bump his post rather than making a new one each time. I can see why people are getting irritated.

"this is only the second posting in which you asked about a Good Vibrations recording..."
Ahem, no. There has definitely been more than two posts about about "saveing" a GV cast recording. And I don't think he has made any posts on this board besides saving cast albums. Recall that his profile, as of now, doesn't show anything before late February, and also a lot of his replies call out about saving GV cast album. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind adding another cast album to add to my collection, but of course everyone is getting irritated because he keeps making posts about it. At least all the Brooklyn and Wicked posts had a variety to them. Maybe we should all put this person on a block list because I have no doubt that there will be another post like this in a few days or so...
