One great song is "Just one step" From Songs for a New World sassy, sarcastic, fun, uptempo.
Another is "Climbing Up Hill" from The Last Five Years and that is uptempo, the singer actually makes fun of auditions so that would be fun.
"You want to be my friend" from "Closter than Ever"
"Whenever I dream" from A New Brain

Goodby Emil from Romance, Romance?
"You Can Always Count on Me" from CITY OF ANGELS
100 easy ways to loose a man- Wonderful Town
OKay, let me say.
"Could I Leave You?" from Follies.
But just because I just listened to it.

what's the audition for?
Be careful that it's not too involved, as the piano player might not be too familiar with the song (if it's kind of obscure) and screw it up, thus putting your audition in jeopardy.
This happened to me once with a CITY OF ANGELS song. The woman at the piano butchered it.
