I saw it twice this past weekend. GO SEE IT. I saw the original cast of the revival back in 2009 about a week before it won the Tony and absolutely loved it. I was not expecting to love the touring production as much as I did, but it was truly incredible. Great cast and amazing energy. I would definitely recommend this on. Not to be missed!

They added a few-rather ridiculous sounding-lines to the show, but it doesn't really make it a lesser show. The staging is basically the same except the downstage scaffolding isn't connected to the boxes, they're just towers on the sides of the stage.

I second bwayphreak, the tour is WONDERFUL. A really strong cast through and through, some of the best original cast members, the absolute best replacement (save for one), and a really nice mixture of new cast members. Definitely go see it!

It is very similar to the Broadway show. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was adapted for the tour. I was worried about the show losing the intimate feeling the Broadway production had, but it did not at all!

I saw it a couple of weeks ago in Seattle in the front row- it was awesome. Very similar to the Broadway production. Great singing, great acting, and from the front, it was very interactive. I got straddled by Claude and my friend got kissed by Berger. We both danced on the stage. It was a fun night!

I'm hearing terrible things about Caren's Sheila. What's wrong? Loved her in Rent.

^ I thought she was wonderful. Her singing was very good. She did an amazing job with Good Morning Starshine. I didn't think there was anything bad about her!

I saw the tour when they were in New Haven, and loved it so much made the trip down to D.C. lol. Such a great mixture of original cast, replacement cast, London cast, and brand new people. They all work so well as a tribe. Paris and Steel have ridiculous chemistry as Claude and Berger.

And I also loved Caren as Sheila. I definitely saw that she settled into the role better from New Haven to DC. She plays it differently from Caissie and other Sheilas, but I...just think she has this earthiness about her that really works. And I think her voice is great; she doesn't belt it out as much as previous Sheilas, but that's not a bad thing, imo.

Wait till the show comes into the cavern that is the Pantages. I think us on the left coast will lose the intimacy that was Broadway.

It worked just fine in the Kennedy Center Opera House in DC when I saw it. I was only 5th row orchestra, but the people in the balconies seemed to enjoy it just fine as well.

The theatre I saw it at was larger than the Pantages Remlap.

I saw HAIR on tour twice in 1971 and 1972. Hard for me to believe that the current tour cast wasn't even born yet! I say, GO SEE IT!

I will say this.... I hope its good. I will be joining the cast again for 6 months starting in L.A. It sounds like a great group of people and a wonderful mix of performers. I look at the cast list as see some of my favorite folk from previous casts and some truly interesting new ones. I'm excited and Ill be sure to keep you posted on how it goes. maybe video blog is in order? what do you think??? Inside scoop on every city.... or maybe The Hair Tour reality show???

I dunno, I work in n Broadway so I guess I need to post here too. Right?

Just saw the show tonight. First time seeing the show and LOVED it! Lauren Dreyfuss (I believe her name is) was on for Sheila. She seemed very young for the role, but she was great. Very pure voice, and looked like Caissie a bit. Loved every minute of it and couldnt ask for a better cast.
