I'm 13 yrs old and an alto. I need help coming up with a one-person song to sing for an audition. Please post your ideas, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Why not sing the same song all the other girls have been singing? 'On My Own'.

You're a little young for 'Alto's Lament' otherwise I'd recommend that.

On My Own, if you can pull it off?

Got some belt? Where's your highest note? You could try "Adelaide's Lament"....but I'm not sure.

Umm...okay. Anyway. I read in your other thread that you'll be 14 soon anyways. I would suggest "On My Own", but then again A)Overdone, B) Sounds horrible when done improperly. But it's very age appropriate, and a generally well-known song.
