help, what show has bigger male leads, seussical, titanic, crazy for u

Hi... this is a random question. But I recently played Horton (and the General) in Seussical. There is an award thing for excellence and high school theater.. my main competition would be from the actors in Crazy for you and Titanic. i'm very unfamiliar with these shows, could you please tell me if the male leads in these shows are bigger or more difficult then Horton? Horton has like a million songs in Seussical and never leaves the stage. he's basically the heart of the show.. Thansk

I've never seen Crazy for You, but I saw Titanic and Seussical (this one, twice). Titanic's more of an ensemble show, but the male lead has more depth than Horton.

The male lead in Crazy for You has to be very talented. He has to sing and dance very well.

budgets for hs shows can be crazy... Seussical was soo much money... we had a flying team come in from Vegas, our lighting is incredible, the sets, costumes we have a freaking moving bathtub lol. thought horton may not have the depth of the other characters, i didn't get to see their performance.. the guy could have totally sucked. im just wondering if Horton is a bigger part than the male leads in Titanic and Crazy for you... does anyone know?

Lol, my High School was the first HS in the US to do Titanic. I think I put some pictures up on this site, a while back.

Here's how it breaks down, in my opinion.

Titanic - Several Male leads. None get all that much solo stage time, with the exception of Andrews. Ensemble show.

Crazy For You - As it's written, Bobby is onstage just slightly less than Millie in, well, ...Millie. Hard role, but could edge out competition if played successfully.

Seussical - Probably fits in the middle of those two. Without seeing any of these productions, I can't really say.

In aggreement witht he previosu posts; Bobby Child (CFY) has to sing and dance very well; however he is the biggest lead out of the three. Following is Horton then Titantic size wise.

i just wanted to see who had the biggest role.. it definitely is or should be based on talent.. but since i didn't see these other two shows, i just wondered if Horton was a bigger part or not. Horton on the OBCR really doesn't sing well at all and I didn't do it like that.. i sang it with a lot of heart and emotion but made it simple. people were crying in the audience during alone in the universe and especially solla sollew. lol, but who knows... i would love to get nominated for this award and i wish i wouldnt worry so much about it. i know that it in the past has been very political so well see.

I am currently in a production of Crazy For You as Moose and it is Chockful of Male parts. Only one male lead however. If you are looking for a show with strong men though, next to 1776 Crazy for You is a great show to do.
