This is part of the Annual Gypsy of the Year collection, that goes from Oct. 24-Dec. 8, that the shows do to raise funds for "Braodway Cares: Equity Fights AIDS." Typically Broadway shows will give Autographed Playbills for a $20 donation, or the Poster Autogreaphed for a $40 donation. They will also auction off items from the show, like Harvey is doing, or in Take Me Out they sell a few of the props, even last week Hugh Jackman auctioned off a Kiss from him, on stage, a man from the audience won, it was GREAT!
I've been able to get some great Cast-autographed Playbills during this time of year, and it's a worthy cause too.
My wishes are with you for Wicked!

2 things:
1) Gypsy is selling autographed gloves & other doo-dads.
2) A % off the tickets comes from the production & could ultimately cost quite a bit of money, but autographed thingamajigs cost next to nothing & can come directly from the company; can't see producers dipping into an increasingly shallow well, despite the almost universal support fo BC/EFA.
