For those who have seen Sleep No More, and Then She Fell, and loved them, I highly recommend spending an evening meditating at houseworld. Houseworld is performed in a church and rectory in Brooklyn and is an immersive evening of theater which draws its inspiration as much from theater as it does from meditation, gamification, and dream theory. It is an extraordinary evening and for those who love immersive performance, shouldn't be missed.

So, what gives?... Nobody here has seen Houseworld? I was hoping to start a discussion and draw attention to this wonderful evening of immersive theater. For those who read this, loved Sleep No More, but were upset that they didn't have a one-on-one, or wanted to have more, then I highly recommend Houseworld. Most of the evening is private moments with one of the 20 regular inhabitants of Houseworld. 30 guest to 20 performers allows for an extraordinary level of personalization. Go! Houseworld is brilliant and fun and very special.

I'm running it by my boyfriend, the sceptic. I've offered to take him for his birthday. Do you ever see the other audience members, or are you totally alone?

For most of the evening, you're exploring the rooms of a large multi-storied house. Almost all of the rooms have an inhabitant of the house who will engage with you either alone or in a small group. You do see the other audience members and even interact with them, but mostly, you're connecting to the other house members one-on-one.
Its also sort of a adventure game. The evening is propelled by a series of "quest" of finding and delivering objects to the various characters. There is a arc to the evening's events, and its a lot of fun figuring out what's going on, but mostly you're wandering around a surreal lucid dream. Its quite intense at times, but also very empowering and magical.

What exactly makes the house a world?

its a name. And, perhaps the author would like to use the title to suggest that we are entering a "world".
