Posted: 1/31/09 at 2:56amhas anyone done SRO for jersey boys? i haven't seen it yet and alot of people have told me to go but i'd rather not pay full price. so hopefully if they have standing room sometime soon i'd like to try it but is it worth it? good view? bad? is the show worth it? i know it won the tony i'd just like some opinions. thanks!

Posted: 1/31/09 at 4:42amIt's not bad. You have to squat down to see the stuff when it's on the walkway, but that can be fun ~ the people around me and I all joked about getting our squats in for the day. 4 of us were lucky and were escorted by an usher to empty seats after intermission. :)

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

It's definitely worth seeing. I saw it during a tech visit, and I had to stand behind the standing room spots (on the back wall, so I was squatting a bit too) -- but I kept thinking all through the show, "so THIS is why the show is so popular."
It's not groundbreaking, or uniquely artistic, or existentially awakening, but, boy, when I saw it, there were Great performances from Everybody, including (or especially) the orchestra, and the top-notch quality of the music just swept me away, I must confess.
[But I'm an old fogey.]
