If you could choose to be in the chorus of any Broadway show, which one would be your first choice? How about your last choice?
I think that my first choice would have to be Sweeney Todd. The show itself is a compelling piece of theatre, and the chorus is just as important to the telling of the ‘tale’ as the characters they sing of in third person. It’s like a greek chorus. The music is also extremely challenging both rhythmically and melodically.
My last choice would be: Wicked. I love the show, but I can’t seem to get to like the Shiz Students/Ozians at all. Though I'm sure things were intended this way, it seems that the chorus characters were all written to be unlikable, mobbish and narrow-minded in order to make Elphaba more likable and heroic. Plus, the chorus music—for me—pales in comparison to the solos, duets, etc.

First choice: Candide. Some of the most glorious chorus music written.
Last choice: Annie. The chorus numbers are pretty golly gosh darn awful.

I was chorus for Cabaret and Crazy for You (Lulu and Mitzi) and I LOVED it.
I love doing the dancing showgirls type chorus parts.

1st choice- Hairspray. They get to dance their butts off, sing and wear those fabulous 60's clothes.
last choice- I'll go with Wicked as well. Those chorus numbers were "eh".

I would love to be in the chorus of Bat Boy, I imagine it would be a ton of fun. If I could do another show I have already been in I would pick Reefer Madness. How many times can you make your entrance as a reefer zombie, go into a swing dance number, followed by an orgy with a giant hookah that really used to be a lamp, and then emerge as angels complete with tin pie plate halos.

Rent
Aida
Secret Garden ( just a lovely show)
I think it would be a blast to be in any of them - however, I can't dance, so that limits my choices to Les Miz, and...Les Miz?
First choice - A Chorus Line.
Last - .... Hair? (I'm shy)
I haven't been in the chorus since I was fifteen!
I suppose if someone held a gun to my head, I would choose the same chorus from fifteen years ago: Sweeney Todd.

The lieder singers of A Little Night Music get a lot to do.
...I'd have to say Les Mis or Taboo for first choices. Although I wouldn't mind being in the chorus for The Scarlet Pimpernel either.
