and supposing you had to cast "screen actors" like, you were totally stuck, and whatever company decided to produce it ruled out Linda Eder, Cuccioli, Warlow, etc.... who would you cast?

CATS, roseanne can't play J&H. Back when she screeched The Star Spangled Banner years ago, it was decided that any producer who allowed her to sing in public would be locked in a room and forced to listen to Stevie Wonder's version of Seasons of Love repeatedly for a whole month.

what the hell do I care? I'm not the producer... besides... I love jekyll & hyde, but no movie producer in their right mind would touch a frank wildhorn project.

Coleen Sexton as Lucy! Unless that doesnt count because she was in the broadway production.
Hugh Jackman as Jekyll/Hyde would be fun!

Since I've been in a movie I can count as a screen actor(just not a big name one) so I would cast myself as Jekyll/Hyde.

CZJ could pull off Lucy.

Not quite sure about Emma.

Actually, now that you mention it MyName, I can picture Gerard as Jekyll/Hyde... I'd have to listen to the music again (I haven't in a long time), but he certainly looks the part.

First I would ask myself "Why is there going to be a Jekyyl and Hyde film/" Then I'd decide to take the easy route and get unkowns from Broadway and just do celebrity cameos in all the non-singing roles.

I was thinking about Hugh as the Phantom and Emmy as Lucy. Then I thought about how much Gerard reminded me of Hugh, and I just thought about how awesome it would be if they just threw the Phantom cast in there.

You know, J/H could be a really good movie. Although, given its lack of immense success on Broadway, I doubt it would ever happen

It might not have done well but it is a great show. Linda Eder is one of my top female favorite Broadway performers.

Lucy ~ Colleen Sexton, God she's amazing...:)
Jekyl/Hyde ~ Ewan McGregor (Some may disagree, but if you've seen the movie, "Trainspotting" or "Eye of the Beholder" he really has a dark side, and a ****ing amazing voice.

I think that Idina Menzel would make a great Lucy. Not quite sure about Emma. But no one could replace Robert Cuccoli.
