i've been reading these boards and everyone keeps writing about nightmare stories with frenchie davis... yesterday i saw her walking into the nederlander between performances and i was completely afraid to say even "good job" let alone ask for her autograph (which i had no problem doing with the other cast members). so, i guess, is she really that bad? should we all be afraid of her?

I met her last year. She's very nice. Atleast, she was to me.
she was nice the first time i met her and then she was really mean the second time. so who knows!
I think that you should just not believe everything you read. Frenchie was very nice when I met her.
This may come as a suprise to some...
but Broadway performers are HUMAN
They have good and bad days just like US.
*gasp* REALLY?
I;ve met Frenchie Davis twice and she was nice as could be! My sister also met her today at Jamba Juice in Times Square (she actually just called me) and said she was very nice and kind, making conversation with my sister and her friends.

I really don't think she is mean. I met her and she was very nice. She wass collecting money for the charity or whatever and someone ask her for her autograph and instead of being mean, she said, " I can't right now, but I will get out of costume and then come out and sign!" very sweetly. But, I think if you bring up American Idol to her, she kind of get mean to you.

Funniest and sweetest woman I've ever encountered.
My friends even bum-bared her and they still told me about how nice she was,so i geuss it depends.
My encounter with frenchie was a funny one. It was this past summer after she perform a song form dreamgirls at bryant park. She told me she was "sweating like a slave" and needed to get water before she took pictures or signed. lol

I was there that day too focusingonmoviesmatt
I wanted to go talk to her but she walked away and went off.
didnt wanna bother her.
The night I saw Rent, she kind of ducked out the side while everyone else was signing. Someone saw her leave and actually chased her across 41st street, shouting "Frenchie, wait!" She turned around and said "I love you, baby, but I'm tired, I gotta go home." The person came back with a huge grin on his face and said "she said she loved me!"
I heard she punches sleeping babies in the face.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!! That ACTUALLY made me laugh, which hardly happens on these boards. I'm thinking of being a loser and putting that in my signature because that just really struck me as funny! Kudos!
Thanks (wink!) - Happy Hols!
