It never stopped touring since the first tour went out in Fall 2003. Either in an Equity or Non-Equity incarnation -- the tour has never stopped.

the beat is still going on, on tour!!!!!! It is going to be in knoxville,tn on tuesday and wednesday nights. I've seen it, the cast is strong and the sets look very nice. Go check it out sometime

oh awesome, thanks im so excited im going to new york this summer and i was bummed that a bunch of shows closed, but now i can see hairspray here, YAY!!
