does anyone know how the jersey boys tour compares to the origional production. the tour is coming to chicago and i'm wondering if i buy next years subscription, jersey boys will be as good as the origional.

From what I've been told -- since the Broadway stage design is quite simple, the touring production is recreating in full the original Broadway production. As with all 1st National Tours, the cast is up to Broadway standards, some performances might even turn-out to be better than their Broadway counterparts.

I think it will be just as good. Although having seen it 3 times in NYC, it will be hard for me not to see the 4 original guys. We must get at least a few of them to LA as I have tickets for the LA production.

The tour will have some different dialogue, different choreography...but it will still be the same show, basically.

I would definitely see it when it comes to Chicago. The cast is fantastic.
