I heard through the grapevine that Andrew Lippa's "john and jen" might be coming back to New York at the start of next year. Does anyone know about this?? It's one of my favourite shows but it hasnt been done in so long. I really really want to go see it!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't heard anything. However, it would be wonderful. I think Julia Murney and Michael Arden would be great in the roles.

Totally! I love love love Julia Murney and she's already worked with Lippa so it might be a possibilty. Fingers crossed!!

John and Jen really needs 2 superb performers/singers to truly work. Murney and Arden are great choices.

I'm not sure about the show, or the age range of the show, but it seems to me that Arden would be too young to be boyfriend/girlfriend husband/wife with Murney? They both are amazing singers though.

In Act One, John the brother dies at age 19. Act Two ends with a 17-year-old John the son. Arden is a baby-faced 23. He's perfect.

Julia Murney is totally believable as his mother. Hell, she's played his mother before!

John and Jen are NOT lovers of any kind. In the first act, they are brother and sister. In the second act, they are mother and son.

This is one of the most gorgeous musicals. My favorite songs are "The Road Ends Here" "It took me a While" and "Every Goodbye is Hello"

omg I love this show and I love both Julia and Michael-two of my favorite performers and both would be incredible in those roles. Although it would be hard to fill Carolee's shoes-but if anyone could do it-it would be Julia

If this were true, and a revival happened within the next few months, Carolee would be busy with Lestat. Plus, at this point, she is probably a bit too old.

Well, the rumors are true. The show will come back to New York from January 6-28 at the Lamb's Theatre.
