I don't think this has been posted, and if it has, I feel bad, but here's the big news:
According to playbill.com, Julia Murney is releasing a CD this spring on sh-k-boom!
This is great news!

That's lovely news! Hurrah!
AHHHHHHHHH. One more reason why Sh-k-Boom makes me VERY, VERY HAPPY.
This is the best news!! YAY!!!!
*fangirlish freakout*
I'm still literally smiling like an idiot over this!!
Yay, this is exciting. I'm going to have a lot of CDs I need to buy off of the Sh-k-Boom website. I still haven't gotten Adam's yet, and now Julia is coming out with one. =D
Maybe they'll do a promotional concert TOGETHER. AHHHH. THE POSSIBILITIES.

Julia is my life.
Getting to know her so well through LENNON, she's always proven to be an incredibly gifted, talented and sweet, sweet, sweet woman.
I'll never forget - every single time I saw LENNON, she never forgot to give me a flower or blow me a kiss. And then, at the stage door on closing night, she hands me an amazing gift: the finger cymbals she used during 'India, India'.
So excited for her and the incredible success she has.
If they did a concert together...wow that would be amazing. I would definitely find a way to see that somehow if that happened.
I'm hoping this cd actually has showtunes on it.
Ok, that's it! All this talk about TL5Y in L.A. and the rumors of her taking over for Steph, and now this CD... I think I need to jump on the Julia bandwagon and familiarize myself with her work.
Me too, Bobby. Attention musical theatre stars: Stop trying to be pop stars...it's not working...no radio station will ever play your songs...you're not going to break out of the theatre pigeon-hole...just sing the songs your fans want to hear.
Of course, I mean that in the nicest possible sense. :)
I am a huge Sherie Rene fan but I cannot get through her solo-cd that's full of mostly overdone pop-songs.
YAY!!! This makes me so happy!
What other than the Chess concert has she done that I can listen to? Becuase her Florence did NOT impress me. Maybe she was just pushing her range too much, but the screaming-with- rapid-fire-vibratto thing was bugging the hell out of me.
Wow -- I thought she kicked ass in the Chess concert. And that's not a phrase I commonly use. She was also in the Funny Girl concert, but I don't know of much else.
I thought she was really good in the Chess concert too. She was in Lennon, but I don't know if that had a recording [or if it's very good if there is one].
She's one of the only reasons I listen to Lippa's lazy Wild Party.
I loved her in Chess too! Sure that if she records those songs she will get them spot on. The only point in Nobody's Side that she screamed was the high F# but hey thats live theatre for you
I want it to be full of showtunes too. None of this pop/rock crap. Please include "People", the Chess material, some JRB, Children of Eden and maybe some Wicked!
All I can say is: ABOUT TIME.
This has made me a very happy person.
My prayers have been answered! Maybe there is a God after all...
I also got to know her during Lennon and she gave a g/f the beaded necklace she wore during Power To The People. Julie D gave me something even nicer, but I am not at liberty to say. Thanks Julie!! ANYWHO, Julia is a great talent and I am excited to hear that she's recording. Only thing is, I think her voice might be a little overbearing on record. AKA the Wild Party, the vibrato is out of control.
