Alright, I suppose I have a lot of ranting to do.
I hate when people compare a replacement actor or actress to the original, expecting his/her performance to be an exact copy of the original's performance. Sure, some replacements try to copy the performer they replace but there are also some that have their spin on the role.
I hate how people refuse to see a show because someone else didn't like it. I really wish people would see shows (especially the ones that are a little less conventional) and form their own opinions of them.
I also hate how someo people will only see happy, simple, or popular shows. There are other shows out there besides "Mamma Mia" and "The Lion King" (I apologize to anyone who likes these shows that I might have offended.)
And last but not least, I depise when people call cast recordings soundtracks. I'm sure I'm not alone in this one.
I hate waiting for them to announce the new Elphaba!!!! Just do it already.. I know it's this week.... put me out of my misery, haha
luvWICKED416 I agree with you on that one. I also want know who the new Fiyero is. Or did they announce it and I'm just in the dark about it?
They don't know about Fiyero yet... but Adam obviously turned it down cause of the RENT movie (yay!)

i LOVE how once i get this thread on the topic of wicked it just DIES... which just justifies that the people who hate wicked have no reason to...

I hate wicked because its overrated. Sure, the lyrics are catchy and the book is okay, but still. Is it really a "great" show? I don't think so. I think it would've been better if it kept with the actual novel, but that's just my own opinion.
And yes, I hate it when I hear "soundtrack". It's a recording. But people in Durant, OK don't know that.
Yes captain, I agree with you. I saw WICKED in previews and thought it would flop.

i agree captain_obvious, i enjoyed the novel better and the story is very watered down in the musical. however, it is easier to follow the story and it's a lot more interesting when put to music. the novel seemed to drag on at some points.
