The critics blew it on this one like they did on "The Big Lebowski" and "Jesus Christ Superstar."
Overall a brilliant movie: sharp, witty dialog, well developed characters, excellent story with narration, superb acting, excellent ensemble acting, lots of funny jokes, excellent direction. I found this movie by accident on my smart TV. It was written by John and Kathy DeMarco and stars John Leguizamo. Rosie Perez was very funny in the movie. The writing was exceptionally creative. Kudos to the writers, John Leguizamo and Ms DeMarco. Be forewarned. It is a mature movie with adult dialog. I regard it as a comedy drama because the characters have a serious side and although a comedy, the subject matter is approached with depth and maturity. My only criticism is that there should have been given more thought to the title. Again the movie is titled "Fugly."
For those confused, this is a comment on a rare and obscure 2014 indie film. It’s not new or even recent.
