Is it worth getting? I'm a HUGE Baz fan and I wanted to get the soundtrack to add to my collection. However, I wasn't sure if it was worth paying 3.99 via amazon.com
Please give me ya'lls opinions, i know you have them!!

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

It is fantastic and totally worth that and more.
My only qualm is I wish they had recorded it later in the run, but they did what they had to do.

why liz?
I'm not a fan of opera, but would you consider this a good starter CD for ppl not exactly into opera, but willing to give a try?

Actually, I'm slightly biased as one of my friends is on that cast recording, but I'll do my best. :) I'm not really a fan of opera, either. I don't dislike it, but musicals are more my style. I had only heard one opera in its entirety before Bohème (and that was Tosca). It's very good to start with, especially because of its length -- it's not too taxing to new ears.
Plus, you'll get to hear David Miller before he sold out to Simon Cowell.

Now may or may not be a good time to mention I actually have two copies but initially paid for three. Oh hell, why not.
I pre-ordered it on Amazon and when it didn't show up when I thought it would, I ran out on the release day to Virgin Records and bought a copy. I sold the one that arrived. Then I bought a used one at a used CD store for $5 and that was my copy at work.
Yeah, I was kinda attached to that show.
So, $3.99? Go for it.
And if you've heard of Il Divo, David Miller is the tall American one with the soft-serve yogurt hair. He was one of the Rodolfos.

Yes. There are operas that are in English, like operas by Handel. Alot of the newer operas are in English, but all of the old classics are in Italian(the language of opera) German, etc. When you see an opera there are usually super titles above the stage giving you a running translation of the opera. So you can read, watch, and best of all listen!
