I thought no "official" casting had been made. The last thing I remember being said was that HF was updating the book and they were "reconceiving" the production.
Was there an official statement made? Because I don't think Mr. Grammer is seriously considering this.

Posted: 5/13/04 at 5:46pmI don't know about him doing this musical. I saw him do Sweeny Todd a couple of years ago and it left a little to be desired, if you catch my drift. He's a good actor and the singing isn't so bad, maybe I'm still bruised from his Sweeny.

I missed his Macbeth - it came and went so quickly. I did see him in Othello as Cassio in the early 80's. His performance the night I saw it was remarkable in that he fell off the stage and into the lap of a stunned lady in the front row.
This is of course was way before Cheers or Frazier.
I think he would make a great George, I would prefer Gary Beach as Albin. I hope HF really works the book better. I wasn't impressed with it the first time around.

I heard Gary Beach & Denis O'Hare.
THAT combo I would see in a heartbeat, but I hope Harvey re-writes Albin a bit. I gotta say I'm not wild about this show to begin with.
