hi can someone please tell me where the stage door for legally blonde is located?
i am takingmy daughter to the matinee on sat and would like to see if afterwards we can get autographs, thanks
If you walk out the front doors of the theatre, make a right, and walk along the side of the theatre. The stage door will be on your right (and I am sure there will be barricades and whatnot set up- you'll see the crowd).
It's on 47th Street. Just exit the theatre from the side and not the front and you'll be right there.
Yeah, it's much easier exiting from the left side of the theater (facing the stage, it would be your left)
Well I think everyones got the location of it already covered. Hope you and your daughter enjoy the show
Does most of the cast even come out after a matinee? I'm going to try to stage door after a Sunday matinee hoping to catch at least a couple people.
(btw - thanks for the info on where it is)
it honestly depends on the day...when I went Laura Bell and Christian did not come out, a day soon after, they did.

I went to the stage door after a Saturday matinee performance, however, I was a little late there since the people I was with weren't "stage door type of people" so I had to see the off first. By the time I got to the door, the crowd was already gone and I was bummed, but then Kate Shindle and Orfeh came out. It was really cool since I was like the only one there. They were so nice and talkative. I got pics and my playbill signed :)
I have seen the show twice and most of the cast will come out...Though for matinees Laura 99 percent of the time wont come out and neither does Christian...I dont think he ever comes out actually atleast thats one the security people told my friend and I...But anyways i hope you and your daughter have a great time!!! :)
The majority of the main cast doesn't come out after matinees. Especially SUnday matinees when they have so little time between shows. Richard Blake, Kate Shindle, LBB and Christian Borle have said they don't come out after matinees, although there is always that rare chance and Orfeh is touch and go as well. Michael Rupert and NIkki Snelson are usually pretty good about it.

not too many cast members came out.
A few of the delta nu girls, professor callahan,
and two of the guy dancers.
we were put behind a fence like cattle.....
oh well
You were put behind a barricade as most broadway shows do at the stage door.
I actually find the Palace to have one of the most efficient stage doors out of all the theatres. Richy rules!
And lately, I have been hearing that most of the cast hasn't been stagedooring at all...might be the cold weather.
I don't know how "touch and go" Orfeh is but she was signing and gracious as ever the few times I've seen Blonde and I was there very recently. I don't go multiple times a week like some here do but that's been my experience. Michael Rupert, Nikki Snelson, Amber Efe and a few others were there each time I went as well. I've never seen Borle and Bundy, only once.

When I went, I believe Orfeh, Nikki Snelson, and Andy Karl came out. Christian and Laura definitely didn't. I forgot about Michael Rupert. Jerry Mitchell was there that day and signed some Playbills.
Orfeh has an great track record for signing and was always there during Saturday Night Fever and has been each time I've been to Blonde. Like Foster, I don't go almost everyday but in my experience, she's great about meeting the fans as is Kate Shindle, Michael Rupert, Andy Karl and Nikki Snelson. Remember, it's not an obligation and most of the time, it's the same group of people clamoring for attention which is unfair to the people who are only ever going to see the show once and have flown in and are stage dooring for the first time.
Wait, did I just read a sensible, completely true yet somehow benign statement about stage dooring at Legally Blonde? Thank you Grandmotel, you win in my eyes!
My personal stage door pet peeve is about the people who go alot and STILL feel the need to stage door on nights they haven't even been at the show.
Like I said, it's touch and go although lately, the majority of the cast hasn't been coming out, which is understandable considering its been about five degrees.
Orfeh has been coming out pretty frequently as of late though, so mad props to her :-P
Yeah, I went to a Matinee, and LBB, and the others listed didn't come out. But it was interesting because Orfeh came out, and signed a bunch of stuff, and then she went back inside. It's nice to see that she cares that much about her fans.
I also felt VERY weird. I was the ONLY male who wanted to meet the cast...
I was there yesterday and did the stage door. I only saw Asmeret and Amber, but that's okay. They were sweet and did pics and all. Very photogenic...those two. :)
I was a little late in getting out of the theatre and then I met a friend...so I definitely could have missed some people.
I saw Legally Blonde tonight. It was my first time seeing it since the second preview in Spring '07 and the show was in fantastic shape. LBB was better than I remembered...she was totally giving it her all up on that stage tonight. Orfeh, as usual, was brilliant, and I still have no idea how Kate Shindle consistently hits those high notes in the LB Remix. Good for her!
The stage door was mobbed...unfortunately, not many cast members came out to sign tonight. Rupert, Snelson and a few ensemble members came out to sign.
LBB did not come out to sign, but I was kind of shocked that Borle, Orfeh, Blake, Shindle, Karl, Johnson or the three sorority girls didn't come out to sign either. I may go back another evening to try my luck again.
I'm glad I saw it a second time...great energy from the cast (and audience) and such a fun show.
Maybe there was some group they had backstage. That's usually the case when that many don't come out at once. Don't know at all, just speculating.
I would say it depends on the day. My friend when the other day and she said the only principal to come out was orfeh (and then she went back in which was nice). so i would say it depends. you probs have a better shot on an evening show.
i think this theater has the worst stage door location though.
Yes, the Palace stage door is not in a good place, although i like it better than stage doors such as Spring Awakening which was basically dead in the middle of a block and you can't go around. The worst one I thought was "The Little Mermaid" stage door. The Palace theatre has a well run stage door, but TLM was in completely chaos.
Does Borle actually come out on a regular basis?
