This may sound kind of dumb, but I was wondering if contract lengths of the actors are even vaguely known beforehand? I have a choice on whether to see Les Mis with my chorus class in January or with my French class in March, but I want to see the OBC and don't want to have a cast change if I go in March. Obviously, this is ignoring the possibility of an understudy.
So does anyone have any information on this??
Well, considering LES MIS is a limited run, I think that the whole cast will still be there in March, unless there's an understudy on for your performance.

In an interview, Daphne Rubin-Vega said she was taking time off for an off-Broadway play in January 2007. Don't know schedule run of that play.
Before I bought my Les Mis tix I actually e-mailed Daphne b/c I had read she was doing a show in early winter of 07 and I wanted to see her in the show. She wrote back and said she is going to be out for a bit to do "Jack Goes Boating". She wasn't sure of the exact date for that show but said to be safe she would suggest getting tix before February. Don't know if she will be back by March or not, so if you are wanting to see her I would go in January.

What is Daphne's e-mail? I want to ask her if she has any plans to do another Rent show anytime soon with the rest of the OBC I'm dying to see them

No I was serious I want to know if the Rent OBC will do a live show on broadway anytime soon
Maybe there will be a 15th or 20th anniversary, but barring that I doubt it.

I wasn't going to tell him that . . . figured if he really wanted it he would find it on his own.
His OBC obsession makes me nervous!
