flaemmchen - I dont think that link works... or maybe it is my computer (my computer does seem to be hating me lately)

Aigoo - I'm actually listening to Light in the Piazza right now and that song is about to come up. Everytime it comes on I try to sing it but I can't pronounce the words correctly (why don't I know Italian... this is when I need it the most!) and plus my singing is horrible to begin with,.. its not a pretty sight to say the least...

Oh flaemmchen I forgot to ask- do you need to suscribe to livejournal to read that page or can I browse without applying?

I listen to that song constantly. It's truly my favorite. I pick up pretty quickly on pronounciation, so I really enjoy sort of mouthing along to it.

The other one that I have started to really like (to listen and sing along to) is the part Octet when she flys into her jealous rage... I think that I am going to start singing the following "Oh I see you stealing... Why because I said so... Go ahead and stare- Jesus this is so unfair!... Joking- I'm not joking!" instead of saying them because they sound so much cooler when sung.

I like the "Jesus, this is so unfair!" part. I found it sort of funny in context...

Let's see...on Piazza, I've lately been obsessed with Aiutami and Light in the Piazza. But I really would rather see it performed than on the CD. It just makes so much more sense...and "Say it Somehow" is just beautiful when performed.

I wish I could see it performed... the more I listen to it, the more I love it and the more I want to go see it... I wish I had heard the songs before my trip to New York and then I could have begged my friend to see if we could get tickets!

Actually, I was able to find a community by going to livejournal.com and typing in "Light in The Piazza".
Who knew?

Life-so-far - try to get back to NYC before January and see it - you won't be sorry. It is truly one of the most brilliant pieces (if not THE most) I have ever had a chance to witness on a stage.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

I just saw this show 2 days ago. The songs are amazing. I would think it is a bit confusing for people who don't really know Italian or another romance language. I had taken Italian already for 5 years.

redhotinnyc2, hopefully I can get back to New York before then but its a 50/50 chance that I will. Do you know if there are any plans (or if is already- even though I haven't heard anything) for Light in the Piazza to go on tour?
