"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

Ok, my theory is, it could look could but can't disney please stick to the movies and tv shows and stay out of the live theatre!
When someone blunders, we say that he makes a misstep. Is it then not clear that all the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill our history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill in dancing. - Moliere

I would love to see Harriet Harris play Ursula but I feel like she needs to play something other than the vilians.

re: little Mermaid On bdwy

This is how the cast should go:
Ariel: Kristin Chenoweth
Eric: Norbert Leo Butz
Ursula: Carole Shelley
Sebastian: Taye Diggs
Triton: Joel Grey
And the new charater: Idinal, Ariel's best gal pal
Carrie: Maybe the past is like an anchor holding us back. Maybe, you have to let go of who you are to become who you will be.

Well, David Ives is involved with it. He's also involved with Batman (the Musical) so that's why I'm interested re: little Mermaid On bdwy

re: little Mermaid On bdwy

Well, no Tarzan.

That's one less movie-musical to worry about.

The only ones that should be done are Batman and Little Mermaid (because they were announced before this whole FAD!). The others should rot or jump off a pier. Stuff like Legally Blonde, Lord of the Rings, etc. It's all a waste of time, money, talent and 'new discovery'. If they're gonna, at least, do musicals like these they could hire eighteen-year-old writers (i.e. from Sondheim's workshops) - instead of whinging about the death of musical theatre.... DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!!

I've always wondered why they didn't do it sooner.
