Posted: 8/8/09 at 10:57pmI assume you mean the radio cast as the soundtrack was never released on CD. The radio cast is readily available used on Amazon so I assume you're asking for an illegal download?

In this case the DL may not be illegal. That radio cast was taken from a transcription record and issued without any payments to the rights holders (if anyone even knows who owns the rights to the broadcast now.) Beware the quality is pretty poor.
After seeing a production of the show here in Toronto last spring I realize this is one score that has been badly neglected by the recording industry. John McGlinn tried for years to get EMI to fund a complete studio cast album without success.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
