ok, so i know this is kind of silly - but i have all this Christmas music on my computer, separated out by genre and i realized there was no Broadway. so help me create a mix of great Broadway songs about or featuring Christmas - the more obscure the better.
so far i've got:
- Turkey Lurkey Time
- We Need a Little Christmas
- Christmas Bells (Rent)
- The Holly & The Ivy (Woman in White) - i know it's not really Christmas-y but I like it
- New Deal for Christmas
Not a stage show, but what about something like "What's This?" or "Making Christmas" from The Nightmare Before Christmas?
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - Meet Me in St. Louis
Twelve Days to Christmas - She Loves Me
"Be a Santa" - Subways are for Sleeping
"Christmas Gifts" - A Wonderful Life
"Christmas Child" - Irma La Douce
"I Don't Remember Christmas" - Starting Here, Starting Now
"Lovers on Christmas Eve" - I Love My Wife
"Hard Candy Christmas" Best Little Whorehouse in Texas
"Pine Cones and Holly Berries" - Here's Love
"Christmas Eve" - She Loves Me
There's more, just can't think of them right now.

For an excellent Christmas CD, check out SAVE THE CHILDREN: Christmas Carols and Festive Songs by the (198
casts of ANYTHING GOES, CATS, CHESS, FOLLIES, 42ND STREET, INTO THE WOODS, LES MISERABLES, ME AND MY GIRL and SOUTH PACIFIC. Some of teh solo cuts are quite wonderful: Colm Wilkinson's "A Winter Boy" and Frances Ruffelle's "I Watch You Sleeping" are treasurable.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
