Saw Martin Shorts "Fame Becomes Me" today. Stanley Tucci was the celebrity guest and it was one of the funniest thing I've ever seen. When Martin was "Jiminy Glick" he asked some crazy questions during his interview and it was quite hilarious. Even the actors on stage were having trouble keeping their composure. Martin Short is a comical genius. I had no idea he could sing so well. The show is so much fun. It's a joke a minute. I want to see it again because the jokes are fast and furious and I have a feeling there's alot of improvising going on. The rest of the cast is brilliant. Mary Birdsongs impressions are phenomenal. Especially Joan Rivers. Donna Vivino does three impressions in a row one better than next. Its hard to pick a favorite. And WOW what a voice. She can really belt, especially when she does the "Wicked" song. I saw her in Hairspray and knew she could sing but I had no idea she could sing like Elphaba.I got to meet her after the show when she was signing autographs. She was really sweet and took a picture with me and my family. I found out this was her first week in the show but you would never know. Capathia Jenkins rocked the house. She has the most amazing voice I've ever heard in my life. Her number "stop the show" literally does. Its worth the price of admission. Brooke Ashmanskas taps his little feet off and is especially funny as "Tommy Tune." He was so nice and also took a picture with my family. Loved seeing Mark Shaiman on stage since I'm a huge "Hairspray" spray fan. Nice butt! martin short review 10/8/06 All in all I would recommend this show to anyone who wants to "party with Marty"!(except little kids)

It is nothing special because I actually forgot about it. If you are interested Forbidden Broadway does it much better.

The "Wicked" number is a spoof on a Broadway memorial tribute to Marty. It is a song that ends with a note very much like "Defying Gravity". But the girls really make it silly and over the top. It's funny. Not the best moment in the show (I love Martin Short's final encore song best personally) but if you are a "Wicked" fan, or even a "Wicked" hater you would appreciate the subtle humor in the delivery.

It was cool you got Stanley Tucci in the Glick segment today. When I saw it in September, we got a guy from NY1. The Wicked spoof is good, but I like the Wizard of Oz one in the show more. I love the Bob Fosse and Tommy Tune bits as well. Martin Short is fantastic, and this show is hilarious. It deserves a Tony, if even in the Special Event catagory.

Martin Short really is an amazing performer and a comic genius. I liked the Wizard of Oz bit too. I also liked the Bob Fosse skit. (I don't want to spoil but how funny was that??)

I saw the show last Thursday night. I enjoyed it as well. Special Guest was Gilbert Godfried. He was hilarious. They "discussed" the AFLAC commercials and how the Aflac character differed from the Iago character from Aladdin. Then Jiminy Glick asked why Men have nipples if they are not meant to milk animals. Gilbert came back with a great one liner that's probably not appropriate for this board. The conductor almost fell out of his seat laughing. Mark Shaiman was shaking so hard the bed was moving on stage. In any case, I went into the show with very few expectations. Got my tickets from TKTS at 7:30PM. Definitely a good show....
