it;s never sold out? then why is it hard to get tix for it?
Who says it's hard getting tickets for MARY POPPINS? What price range are you looking for? If you're looking at the lesser priced tickets, then of course...those are not available.
Tickets in the top ticket price are available for ALL performances. The show is not a difficult show to get 'good' tickets for. If you're looking for 'cheap' crappy balcony seats -- yes, those are sold-out.

Mary Poppins is sold out at almost [if not] all weekend performances, jeez....calm down.
It's something they don't advertise...you just sort of need to go up to the box office and see if it's sold out (or check online).
Their weekday stuggles could be solved by their autumn-time switch to Wed-Sun scheduling (5 shows on the weekend instead of four. This will likely boost their numbers).
walk down Broadway near the TKTS booth and you will find men hawking TKTS for $40 every day.
They are not selling out, but the premium tkts make the numbers so high.

BrodyFosse123, that's not necessarily true. I just did standing room at Mary Poppins at Saturday's matinee. Also, when I asked an usher if my friend and I could take a pair of empty seats if we found them, she said it would be unlikely because they are "usually sold out on the weekends."
