Princess Fiona hands down the funniest female role I have seen thus far. I don't care how old you are, the farting and burping song is pretty darn funny.
Also Val from A Chorus Line was pretty funny. And Debra Monk's character in Curtians [I can't remember her name.]

Miss Adelaide (fo sho) in GUYS AND DOLLS
Cunegonde in CANDIDE is probably one of the most impressive female comedy roles. You have to be really, really funny and hit 21 (?) high Cs in one song. No biggie.

Posted: 12/9/08 at 9:03pmI like my funny ladies on the tragic side so I would have to say either of the two leads from Grey Gardens or Mrs. Lovett. All have hilarious lines and lyrics that make me laugh every time I listen to their albums.
