does anyone know if it will be announced soon. i know that alice is diana and emma hunton is rumored to be natalie and tim young is rumored to be henry. i saw on matt shingledecker facebook that he had exciting news to soon to be announced. i don't know why but the first thought in my mind was gabe. does anyone else think he would be PERFECT for it?? also who would you want as dan and doctors?

I believe the OP is referring to Matt Shingledecker, he was a Spring Awakening broadway cast member who left the production with Kyle Riabko and Blake Bashoff to join the tour cast as Georg.

Matt doesn't fit Gabe AT ALL.

Emma is definitely Natalie. Samantha Souza-her roommate-confirmed it.

Shingledecker seems more likely for Tony on the WSS tour, given that he was reportedly a finalist for the role initially.

Emma, I assume, is Emma Hunton, the replacement Ilse from Spring Awakening.

The great Emma Zaks does not TOUR. She is a BROADWAY STAR.

I got it too...funny because as soon as anyone types Emma, I immediately think of Zaks, and we all know that would be ridiculous. There are a few people who can be identified by ONE name...Patti, Bernadette, Betty. On this board, if you say Emma, most will think of Zaks, but not because of her body of work.

I would guess they'll annouce just about the time they go into rehearsal...first date is sometime in September, yes? So I would guess you'll hear quite soon.

adamgreer, I had a feeling it was a joke, but then again, we have seen some interesting casting choices before, so I wouldn't put it past me that they would actually consider her for this role.

just throwing this possibility out there....Anthony Rapp as Dan? he wrote the foreword to the libretto that was just published and said that he hopes to one day be a part of the show again.

Anthony Rapp doesn't have the voice now to even come close to doing that part (if he even ever had strong enough vocals, of which I remain unconvinced. Never cared for his singing).

Adam Pascal would be a tremendous Dan. I've been suggesting it for awhile now. He's the right age, though because he's such a handsome guy, reads younger. And his voice is perfect for the score.

However, neither he nor Rapp are available, since they both announced a dual concert tour that starts this fall.

It's not that he wants to do the show, it's that he has been involved in the show. He played the doctors in a reading and was the assistant director of the off-Broadway production.
