There is a book of smaller lesser known gay plays edited by John Clum. It's called "Asking & Telling" I enjoyed most of the plays, although not all... the titles are

Party - David Dillon
Dancing in the Mirror - John M. Clum
Deporting the Divas - Guillermo Reyes
Somewhere in the Pacific - Neal Bell
Clocks & Whistles - Samuel Adamson
Rescue and Recovery - Steve Murray

THE RITZ by McNally - one of the funniest (and most politically incorrect)plays ever!

THE STAIRCASE by Charles Dyer - check out the movie with Rex Harrison and Richard Burton as an aging gay couple.

Would boy from Oz count since the central character is a homosexual?

Some lesbian plays:

BOSTON MARRIAGE by David Mamet - dealing with a 19th Century lesbian couple.

Two plays based on the same true muder case:

MY SISTER IN THIS HOUSE by Wendy Kesselman
and THE MAIDS by Jean Genet - the story of two sisters who had an incestuous lesbian relationship, and brutally murdered their wealthy employer and her daughter.

BILOXI BLUES (it has a gay sub-plot)

Not really a gay play, but TEA AND SYMPATHY deals with issues of manhood and masculinity.

THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE is an adaptation by Jay Presson Allen from the novel by Muriel Spark and has little, if anything, to do with homosexuality.

Other gay-related plays:
AS IS
THE KILLING OF SISTER GEORGE

DEATHTRAP has two gay men as the principal characters (Oops - I spoiled the big surprise!)

Lanford Wilson's THE FIFTH OF JULY has a gay couple among the main characters.

Also by Lanford Wilson, the wonderful one-character, one-act play, THE MADNESS OF LADY BRIGHT, about a transvestite.

And, Wilson's HOT L BALTIMORE had a lesbian character.
