new joseph...dreamcoat tour

Is anyone else really excited about this tour. I know not much has been announced yet. Does anyone know anything about it? According to Troika website Patrick Cassidy and Amy Adams are going to be the leads. What are your thoughts on the casting?

Ha! I did the Papermill Playhouse Nat'l Tour with him and Deborah Gibson in 1999 I think it was; though I only got to do it in my hometown. He must love the role and in our production he was shirtless through the majority of the show. Who's Amy Adams if I may ask...

There was an Amy Adams on American Idol a few seasons ago... other than that, I have no idea

amy adams playing the narrarator is the same one from american idol. Apparently the producers of the show called the casting dept. and said she would be perfect for the role

Rock on! I saw her in the American Idol concert this past summer and she was amazing. Second row and have some great pictures of her! Yay for Amy. Patrick I've seen, but he's a really nice guy, would probably spend the money to see again.

I'm sure the tour will stop in Boston or Providence (Providence more likely). I'll be sure to keep in mind that she is in it...

I saw Patrick Cassidy in the tour with Debbie Gibson... I don't remember it all too well... but yes, he is too old. Did anyone see how old he looked in 42ND STREET this past year??

Funny side-note: We're doing JOSEPH... at a dinner theatre right now, and at the first meeting, the director asked what the purpose of JOSEPH... was. One person's response was- "So Donny Osmond can have a job..." lol.

Ugh Donny Osmond as Joseph....I won't toot my horn on here or in person normally but last year I did the show as Joseph and all I heard (not just from family, etc.) was how our recording should be out and not Donny Osmonds. Thanks to Nick, Jacque and Bethany for being amazing King, and Narrators. Deborah Gibson was great in the tour...

Timote is that Millie in ur pic? (I haven't seen the show yet but it's final stop on the tour is here in Tucson and I hear that the lead in the tour is amazing)!

I agree with you... I've done Joseph already (and will be doing it again come this spring) and I'm not even 20 yet! If a guy can sing Joseph, and is older, than I don't particularly mind (i.e. Sam Harris)... but I saw the first time Patrick Cassidy toured in JOSEPH..., and I don't remember him doing anything special (except making me think he was David Cassidy the ENTIRE show...). Vocally- Patrick Cassidy is passable. I saw him in AIDA on Broadway as well, and didn't think he did anything special vocally with that role either. Although, Deb Gibson was superb as his Narrator in his *first* Joseph tour.

I saw him at Broadway Bares when he removed his shirt and his was SOLID. Shorts, depends, nothing at all, I would pay to see him in the flesh.

I think the best Joseph I saw was 10 *eek* yrs ago with Michael Damian as Joseph...boy, was he hot!!! Has anyone else seen him perform?
