So... on Broadway.com, the pictures celebrating 20 years at the Majestic allude to new artwork for the show....
is this true?
and... if it is, who else thinks it looks like crap and a half?

Posted: 2/18/08 at 2:35amI dont think that's gonna be a new advertising campaing or anything like that, it was just one poster for the 20th anniversary. And, Phantom is so hated on these boards I dont think there's anything they could do to make a Phantom poster people would like!

I do think that it was just for the party and not a poster for a new ad campegin.
If that were the case it would be around the city by now. And, additionally, if it were the case I could see the poster in Shubert Alley being replaced by that. So far, neither are the case.

ah. I... it scared me... because it looks like new artwork for the Yeston "Phantom"... and could confuse people... but I'm guessing if you know the difference between the two or that the other one exists... you obviously would know that was the poster for the 20th anniversary performance.
Stick to what's worked for 20 years, kids.

Posted: 2/18/08 at 10:29amCoincidentally, DAYS did have a character with a mask years ago! They did this "Phantom" rip-off storyline. Former pimp Nick Corelli's face was scarred, so he donned a mask and focused his attention on Eve Donovan. I even recall a chandelier being involved!
