I saw Dennis go on and although I was apprehensive because I'd never heard anything about him, I was extremely impressed when I walked out of the theatre that night.
Um, this is kinda a non-sequitor, but on the Sat. matinee he lost his voice for one second in the scene where they sit on the chairs talking to each other, and the entire audience rose for a standing ovation since everyone thought the show was over and he was cracking up. But then everyone stopped clapping and they picked up where they left off. It was tres bizzare. But they got two standing ovations. Or is that normally part of the show?
Several times after "Dirty Rotten Number" there has been a standing O, one time it lasted more than 5 minutes. It is a real "showstopper" (and many don't realize the show is still going) It has nothing to do with Norbert being sick.
Yup about the standing O after Dirty Rotten Number. But it's amusing. The first 4 times I went, no standing ovation. The 5th time the people to people group was there and they were an amazing audience and that's when the standing ovation seemed to last 5 minutes. The last 3 times after that have also been standing ovations, though not as enthusiastic audiences. But the 9th time I went, it was if not tied w/ the people to people audience, definitely the 2nd best and most enthusiastic audience I've gotten to watch DRS with--go figure that's my first time in 5 shows there is no standing ovation after DRN. LOL.
Standing ovations after every DRN in all 3 shows I have been to. I am like "People, the show is still going on."
