I am sorry that you missed Norbert's performance.

Did you enjoy his understudy?

How is his understudy? I love Norbert. I just don't know if I could see anyone else in this role. No disrespect to the understudy, it's just wrong in a way!

I am not too concerned but he has missed a few shows the last three weeks. He was sick last night and moving just over a week ago but he is one of the main reasons people go see DRS. I am more worried Reidel will write him up for it ><

I don't think he's one of the main reasons, sadly. When he was on vacation back in July, the box office numbers barely wavered, yet when John Lithgow was out, they dipped considerably.

Is Joe Cassidy still his understudy? I've not seen him in DRS, but he's great otherwise.

The numbers dipped because of John Lithgow yes but hes still a bigger name than Norbert. Most people I've meet who see the show enjoy Norbert much more than John. I do hear that Joe Cassidy is great too. John's understudy, Dennis Farlino, was very good as well.

Norbert has been pretty sick for a little over two weeks.
I saw Jason Gillman as Freddy the last time I saw the show, and he was very good. I think that Lawrence is actually the more important character to have properly cast, I did not care for Dennis Parlato, he didn't have the timing I find neccessary. With Freddy, as long as you don't go too far over the top, it is a safe role. Norbert is a much better singer and subtler actor though.

I love Norbert and he is the main attraction and does wonderful things, but I actually missed John more in this show.

I love Joe Cassidy, but I'd just be depressed if I saw the show without Norbert. Dennis was just well, not good in the show. I felt bad because Greg introduced me to Dennis after the show backstage and he seemed so proud of himself, so of course I was polite, lol. I saw Joe as Andre and he was great but no Greg. I know Norbert's been out sick a lot. On the GregCam Greg always says if anybody's out and "Norb's Out Sick" seems to frequent the cam now. . I highly reccomended the show to one of my teachers who is seeing it on Wednesday night and I REALLY hope that Norbert is there for it!

I saw Joe in the role and thought he did a great job. I mean, I was slightly biased towards Norbie, but really the only major difference I felt was Norbie was a better "dancer." Joe had a great voice and comedic timing, is that who you saw?

He was away I think...last week so when Norbie was out, Jason Gillman went on. I actually didn't hear wonderful things about him, but glad you liked him Penguin.

When I saw DRS Joanna Gleason and Norbert Leo Butz were both out!

thats horrible!
well, i havent seen the show yet, but i got a tshirt for it today! its the tan one with the logo, and its says "get taken" :)
poor norbert is sick...i would feel ashamed if i ever had the flu, met a performer like norbert, or some one, and gave them it, i would feel sooo bad!

Have you seen THE MIRROR CRACKED???? It would be just awful if Norbert was having a baby and then murdered the person who gave him the flu!!!!!!!!!!!

Are we joking here? He IS fab in the show but it is only a show!

Was Sherie Rene Scott out last night? Last Wednesday night, 10/5, Norbert was in but Sherie was out. Her understudy did a great job.

Sherie is out for an unspecified amount of time after the death of her father. She also has a vacation coming up (this past week and next, I believe.)

Sherie was back for both shows yesterday and today's performance, and now she will be out for her vacation through October 23. Have also heard good things about Laura Marie Duncan, her understudy.

Theaterlover, Rachel de Benect was in for Joanna Gleason right? I saw her once and thought she did a great job, esp. had a great voice, what did you think?

I was there Sat - saw Sherie and the always funny Joanna at the stage door. John even signed for people in the rain.

Joe Cassidy was in for Norbert. Norbert played the matinee.

just out of wonder how is tom galantich(spelled wrong i assume) as lawrence? he is the other understudy and went on for a while earlier in the run

Jonart, I've never seen a Lithgow understudy, but from what I've heard, people said good things about Tom. I've heard mixed things on Dennis, but more agreement on postive things for Tom.
