SHUT UP, guy I knew in high school, who wants to come to NYC so he can schmooze with a bunch of people who will hopefully produce his project, who tells me all about his plans for his visit with all these people.
Except I'm not invited to any of these events. BUT he does want to spare whatever leftover time he has picking my brain about NYC so he can research his stupid project. And, he asked me to find him a place to stay.
Haven't seen the guy since high school, and I'm going to continue that tradition.

My grandma for sending me the post pointless note ever today. She was talking about how she was scared when nobody was at my house the day of my sister's engagement party because we switched the location at the last minute because a storm took the power out, and the property was a mess. And then I saved the day by driving up to get her. Note: She was not driving, and she was with my other grandparents and two of my uncles. She also was raving about my driving, and she didn't even get into my car. I feel bad because she is so rude to my younger sisters and does not send them anything of the sort.
And the biggest shut up ever is to the school board of my town's elementary school. There has been a battle for months now about replacing the powerlines in the town, by putting up new towers that are taller, but have a higher voltage. Some parents at the school started a campaign to stop the lines because they are dangerous and harmful to the kids. They're worried about EMFs and cancer. Now the school board has decided to close the school on October 1st because of the kids playing outside.
The stupid things about this whole thing is that the powerlines are on top of a hill where the kids are not allowed to go. They also just spent millions of dollars on a new addition to the school, which was built closer to these harmful powerlines. Of course, many students, including me, went there from kindergarten through 6th grade, and we turned out fine. All I can say is that these parents better be living underground and with no electricity because there is no way to escape EMFs. I'm really tempted to go to the town meeting on Monday and point all this BS out to them.

OMG - to the partner who sits a couple of doors down from me - STFU!!!! He constantly walks around and talks to clients while he's on his headset like he's the only one here. We know you just got divorced. We know you just got remarried. And I'm tired of hearing the baby talk with your child.

Bumping this up.
Really pissed off right now and figured this was a good place to rant. I really wish people would think before posting a status about the death of someone not famous sometimes. I get that it saddens you, but I'm finding it to be really disturbing in some cases now. Like it being the way some family members are finding out.
Today I went around all day before finding out that my Aunt died early this morning. My sister posted it on Facebook tonight. My mom forgot to tell me. I also heard that the same thing happened to someone else when their sibling died. I get people want to inform people, but a waiting period would be nice so close relatives know first.
