(and to be fair, most of the time people using the word sh*t are referring to another poster.)
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

It's their board and they can publish whatever they want, but as to posting profanity, it's forbidden in the very first sentence of the guidelines - and dramamama is correct in that it is usually directed at another poster in the form of a personal attack, which, believe it or not, is also forbidden.
