Does anyone know what he's doing now? Is he in a show?

He's a swing in POTO on Broadway last time I checked.

It doesn't list him on any of the tours or Broadway.

As of June he was the Jeweler in the Broadway production. My source (which is very reliable, but needs to be updated for July, so this status may be different now): www.phantomonbroadway.co.nr

Yes, he's still covering the four principle roles as well as playing the Jeweler regularly.

He was great as Rudolpho in 'La Boheme'

A decent Marius in Les Mis? I'd have married his Marius in Les Mis, I loved him. I also loved his Rodolpho in La Boheme. Seeing him go on as a principal role in POTO might be the only way in heck someone could get me to go back to that show.

And hang on, when did you win the discus?

I would have killed his Marius. His has been the weakest performance I've ever seen, since most of the time he was walking through the role. Though I was impressed the night I saw him onstage with Colm Wilkinson. But one excellent performance out of so many, and I did see La Boheme, does not an actor make.

He's going on as the Phantom this Friday, 7/7, and both performances on Saturday 7/8!

Peter is a FANTASTIC singing actor. He brings such sincerity and honesty to every role he plays. You may not like his take on that character, but you cannot question his abilities.

He may have the abilities, but if you don't use what you have, then what's the point?

question... so when an u/s goes on as phantom... is that them singing in the prerecorded stuff... cuz i remember seeing the show in LA and having davis gaines' understudy and thinking... that's not the u/s singing during NOTES

I actually had the chance to see him play Raoul during my trip to NYC, and I have to say I love his singing and his acting as well.

Lasagna, usually they do. I've seen quite a few Phantom understudies and they all recorded their own tracks. Sometimes the crew messes up, though. re: peter lockyer

Yes, there are tracks for all the understudies for the various roles that have recorded lines. Unless somebody screws up (pretty rare), it's always the voice of the actor at that performance.

I thought he was wonderful in Miss Saigon. I wish I could say the same for a later show.
