Posted: 7/24/05 at 11:12pma scrim is like a thin curtain with (what are called sharktooth) holes in it and when light is reflected in front of it, it is solid, and when light is reflected behind it, it is transparent. ---hope this helps

I co-designed a set for Gypsy that looked like full theatre curtians from the front, but when lit from the back, they dissapeared. You gotta love scrims!
VERY effective for Gypsy.

Posted: 7/25/05 at 10:19pmI assume you're talking about her big strip sequence that charts Louise's growth as a star. Tammy had all of the costumes in that sequence on at the beginning with the exception of a few pieces and just peeled articles off, adding a few accessories along the way.
