random Beauty & the Beast Question#0

Hi! I was just wondering if anybody knew who played Belle before the girl from Even Stevens played her, Christy Carlson Romano. I went a couple of years ago to see Beauty and the Beast, remmembering that she was fabulous. Anybody remember?

Everyone who responds to this thread from this board is going to say how atrocious she was. Was she the best Belle vocally? Not hardly, but she still did a good job I thought. Many people here have some capricious, illogical ill will towards Disney and berate everything they do, even their very apparent stunt casting. The best Belle in my opinion was Kim Huber.

My sister actually saw Christy Calron ROmano. She recalls that she wasn't that bad, but almost fell while walking across the stage. =P

I believe it was Megan McGinnis. If I remember correctly, it went Ann Sanders, Jamie Lynn Siegler (aka Meadow Soprano), Megan McGinnis, Cristy Carlson Romano, Brooke Tansley, Ashley Brown, and now Sarah Litzsinger (back for like her third engagement).

Way to answer the question clarkstallings. LOL, just kidding. In any case, the Belle prior to Christy was Megan McGinnis, who most recently was seen as Beth in the Broadway production of Little Women. She has the voice of an angel.

Christy never took care of her voice
and very often sounded like a Frog
Jamie Lynne actually was a great actress and her voice got sweeter as she progressed
But Ashley Nailed it vocally.
Sara is also a kick ass vocal Belle
Hope you don't see the Undestudy Anna Andricane
they need to get Young Big Voiced Covers

Wow, bjh, I beat you by a second!

I didn't see Seigler, but heard she was quite good. Romano was cute and fun, but I wouldn't rank her as one of the best Belles. Ashley Brown is my favorite, with Ann Sanders (who was affectionately called the "Asian Belle") a close second.

Michelle Malardi is not the Belle cover anymore??

I have seen Jennifer Schrader and Ann Asnders play Belle in BEAUTY & THE BEAST. Ann was the better of the two. Jamie Lynn was great from what I heard.
