Posted: 12/11/06 at 12:39pmDid anyone get a chance to see the pilot for "Puppet Planet" on the travel channel last night? Howie Michael Smith from Avenue Q is in it and I love him! I didn't get a chance to see it and wanted to know if anyone saw it and how it was. I think they're repeating it a few times this week, so I'm setting my TIVO!

It was very funny. There were 3 main puppets. One guy from WI, One guy from CA, and a latina girl (who you barely see at all). There was also a German puppet they met at the hostel who was a little annoying. Most of the New Yorkers were playing along very nicely. These puppets were really smart asses and wait till you see the Santa at Macy's. I'm really surprised Macys let that air. There was a lot of not-so-subtle innuendo as well. Mostly from our California puppet (who was flirting with a Big Apple Circus acrobat). Definitely worth watching.
Thought I saw Howie's name real quick in the credits. made me wish I saw who else was a puppeteer.

Howie is just a puppeteer. He played Darrin I think. I was pretty bummed though. I went to watch it at 8 (which is when my viewing guide said it would be on) but instead it was some show about Christmas lights. It was supposed to be repeated but it didn't even though the guide said it would.
It's supposed to be on again on the 18th so hopefully I'll catch it then.

He'd better be prominent in this year's "Broadway Bares."
Both former Princetons have done the same!
