I love young fanaticism. This reminds me a little of when Rent first opened, and we couldn't make it through the school day without blasting La Vie Boheme in the chorus room.

A great way to take a peak at the creative process and some performances by Broadway's newest critical hit...


Composer, Duncan Sheik will give a rare look inside the creation of the new Broadway musical, Spring Awakening as part of the Apple Store's "Made on a Mac" series. Producer Tom Hulce will moderate an interactive discussion on the musical's development and some members of the cast will be on hand to perform live as well.

When: WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 13 6:00PM TO 7:30PM

Where: APPLE STORE, SOHO.? 103 Prince Street

Christine Jones and Kevin Adams, Spring Awakening's set and lighting designers will also be appearing as a part of this series Tuesday, January 23rd at 6PM.

I went... they did "Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind", "Whispering", and "The Mirror-Blue Night" with all major cast members except for Lauren Pritchard who was out. The cast had to perform the songs quickly and head uptown to do the show. After they left the q&a began.

The cast members were lovely as always, having fun looking adorable and joking around. Lea Michele was VERY cute when leaving the stage, she looked at Duncan and he said "okay, go to work!" and she was like "okay, I gotta go to work, guys!" Very down to earth.

P.S. if Lauren was out, who sang Blue Wind? Phoebe Strole?

I keep hearing here and there about lauren pritchard being out. I think she was the only one who missed a performance at the Atlantic (i could be wrong), and I know she was out at least once or twice during previews. I wonder if she's having vocal stamina trouble? don't know if she was ever professionally trained. hmm.

Krysta Rodriguez was in for Lauren. She has a really beautiful voice... but there's a very unique quality that Lauren has which I really think makes that song.

They did mention that she was having a "bronchial thing" going on. I know that she moved from LA, maybe she's adjusting to the weather here, haha. I know that she's been a singer for quite some time, so I would assume she knows how to take care of her voice. Oh also, they mentioned that at her audition for SA in LA she sang "Somewhere Over The Rainbow."

I have no idea if she is out for the show tonight or not, she may have just wanted to rest her voice until the performance and skip on the apple event...

I saw the final preview Saturday night and noticed Lauren had a bandage on her foot. Now I know why. Hope she heels quickly. Her voice is fantastic, very Fiona Apple-esque!

SNLMedia, I believe Ilse is supposed to have the bandage on her foot when you see her barefoot.
