Hey, guys. Two questions regarding music/lyrics to "The Wiz":
1. I had the karaoke track for "Ease On Down The Road" many years ago and can't remember how the lyrics had been arranged. I remember it was a lot longer than any of the segments in the show or movie. If anyone has specifics on this (as the tape is long lost), please PM me.
and
2. In "Everybody Rejoice/Brand New Day" how does the song end? Does it just fade out or does it have a definite ending?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much!

As for the karaoke track, it would of course depend upon the track itself.
As for Brand New Day, if you're referring to the stage version, there is indeed a definite ending to it. Fade outs aren't so effective in the live theatre.
theres a button
its a c
its on "day"
There are MANY versions of ease on down the road. In the version I was in, we had the main number and like 4 reprises...
Sorry, I was referring to the karaoke track for "Brand New Day" as well. I believe it was pocketsongs.
I will find out for you.
Also ... does anyone have access to the scene where Dorothy meets the Scarecrow, leading up to the first "Ease On Down"? I'm trying to put together a talent number for a local contest and appreciate any and all help.
Thanks so much!

when do you need it for. I have it but its at my parents house in another city, three hours away
The show isn't until the first weekend of June, but I'm supposed to go into rehearsal in a few weeks.
Thanks so much for all the help!

Why doesn't the OP go to www.samuelfrench.com himself and purchase it. Seems like a waste for someone else to FedEx it when the OP could just own it himself. It's not that expensive.
I dont mind, Josh. Turn your pm's on please
Hey, sorry about that, my PMs are back on. I didn't realize I had turned them off. ;-/
Sondhead, when I googled "'The Wiz' Libretto" nothing useful came up, so I had no idea I could purchase it from Samuel French. Thanks for the info.
thank you :)
are you still needing it?
