I realize that there are very many threads about arrival times for Jersey Boys student rush, however, I'm just asking if anyone knows if the demand for tix is as demanding more recently? Do you still need to get there at the crack of dawn or has it let up at all?
Any info is appreciated!
I haven't been lately, but I would assume that you would have to go really early especially with a lot of college students on summer vacation and now that it's getting warmer.
Yes, you need yo get there at teh crack of dawn. If I had to suggest a time I would say latest 5. Because I've gone during the school week when people are suppossed to be in school and alot of the the people in front of me got there at 5, 5:30. Also, avoid at all costs the scalpers. You will be able to tell who they are, they stick out like sore thumbs. If you get one of them in front of you, you might as well go home because they bring other people and they pretty much jump the line. Good luck though =)
question, i've searched but can't find it. where are the rush seats located for the show?

The rush seats for JB are the first two rows on the left and right of the orchestra(sp).
I would definetly go early to JB for rush cause I went last August to rush it and I got there a little before 7am and the line was filled already, but I thank God that it was a Wednesday and there were tickets for the matinee left.
I'm going to try and go in September during the school week because I think it would be easier to take off on a Wednesday or Thursday in September during the school week when everyone should be in school. Which would be easier a Wednesday or Thursday?
worrell - i would recommend going Wednesday, because there are two performances, but honestly either day would be good.

Thanks. I just wanted to ask which would be easier since I remembered reading on here someone saying that the lady at the box office said that Thursday was the slowest day, but I like going in on a Wednesday or Saturday basically because of the doubled chance of either getting into the matinee or the evening show.
hey i rushed this previous saturday, and beat the scalpers, i guess they were lazy and didnt get to the theater around 4:00 and out of the 5 scalpers there 4 of them had to leave since the apparently had already bought this calander month, but seats were great and the price was right a good number of people got tickets since there was only 1 scalper and 2 shows on saturday. and even if your not the first person in line, ask for house left, the staircase on the right is terrible
usmma--just wondering, what time did you get to the theater? I'll be rushing next month (on a sunday), and I'm just trying to get an idea of a time to get there.
i'm not gunna lie, I want to see this show so bad because i've been following it from the beginning and I grew up to their music because my parents love it. I want to see the show but after hearing about these scalpers i'm not sure if i'm going to go there next weekend like I planned.
It's such a great show that you shouldn't let the scalpers stop you from at least trying. I think you should go for it anyway, and just get there as early as you can. If worst comes to worst, you could always do standing room later in the day. :o) Good luck, and let us know how it goes if you decide to go!

i've had a few run ins with the same scalpers two times before (once in december and once in march), and luckily each time I was able to get 2 tickets because the scalpers usually got all the other ones. i still cant believe they are able to get away with scalping those seats...I tried saying something to management but they said they can't do anything unless they see those tickets being scalped. oh well, i'd definitely try to do student rush despite the scalpers. just remember, they can only get tickets once a month! :)
yeah i'm going in this weekend and it's a holiday weekend, go figure, but i'm going to get there at the butt crack of dawn
3rd luck is a charm right? haha i'm keeping my fingers crossed. i've been dying to see the show since it came out.
If you don't get rush tickets, there's always standing room. It's not that bad for Jersey Boys, I've done it a few times.
i got there at 3, since it was really important for me to get the tickets, also 4 of the 5 scalpers got kicked away, best of luck
3am!!?? Jesus. Hope it was at least a warm night.
wow, who kicked the scalpers out? how did that happen?
I believe they got kicked out because their names were already on the list, but when you have like 15 kids scalping and they only take names matinee days, they were just stupid if they thought they would get tix again. but in general the "they can only come once a month" claim they give is bull, they just can't come on a matinee day twice a month.
Just one question, so I dont get there and line up the wrong way so they can cut me, what side of the door should I start lining up on if i'm facing the theatre. I had that happen once for a concert and got mad.

The line for rush starts by that photo they have out front of all four guys and it says on top "Oh What A Night" on it and it lists the different Tony awards it won. That's where the line starts and it goes back in the direction of the stage door.

I work there in the morning and you can start the line at the first door closest to the box office. Also the names are now being taking daily by one of the theater staff that is why the scalpers are being kicked off the line. Plus alot of them there school ID's are not recent. The theater is doing there best to stop these scalpers.

Im sure this is nothing new but if you dont get rush check with Telecharge, I spoke with a woman there the other day and she told me that even the producers own seats open up at the last minute. I hate Telecharge service fees but its better than a scalper. Good luck.
