I'm assuming they can't rehearse without stage hands, so I was wondering what would happen if the strike went on for a few weeks - when they finally do open up again, will the shows need to have a few rehearsals maybe to practice and get things back together? Can a show just start right back up again?

I'm sure if the strike lasts through this week that several shows will postpone their opening nights. Little Mermaid would certainly, given it being such a technical show.
well, they can rehearse off of the stage as long as they are able, which is where all shows start rehearsals. They just won't be able to move to the stage until the strike is over.
so, I guess once the beginning rehearsal period is over, they will have to break, and then start up again on stage, refreshing themselves as they go along.
Again, depending on the length of the strike, some shows may have cast changes, which may require more rehearsals prior to reopening.
