They are filming somewhere in Brooklyn, in a Subway station that will be closed off, so it will be inaccessible to the public.

Dammit...why do I have to live in Rhode Island???? I wanna gooooooooo..... re: rent - midtown filming? This movie needs to come out soon- BUT for those who haven't read the actual movie script yet, go to kissmen.com and in the site somewhere (careful, it is a gay porn site or something, don't ask why the script is there) and you can download the first and revised version of the screenplay on Adobe Acrobat. Good stuff. Don't ask why I was at a gay porn site when I'm a straight female lol.

Woah...well I'm not selling mine, even though the tape is kind of coming off the Thursday. It's my special souvenier, but I dunno, I don't think it would have the same value if I just bought it and wasn't actually there..oh well.

MARCH 17, 2005

t was so fun! I'mt rying to get the video up online, as well as sound clips.

Met Anothy Rapp again and was sweet as always. They crew was like "if you're normal people please leave -background stay" and he was like "they're with me" (something to that extent)

I saw a little bit out Without You. WILL GET A SOUND CLIP OF ROSARIO UP ONLINE ASAP sounds wonderful. she's a sweetheart passed out st. patty's day cookies to us

We saw what they had shot in Broolyn and it looks amazing.

Then saw them film a beginning shots of the movie with Anthony riding a bike down the street. Lots of fun and met a lot of nice people!

Please post your clip soon! I have been wanting to hear if Rosario can actually sing for forever.

Rosario can ABSOLUTELY sing. I was so impressed. Her voice is... "prettier" than Daphne's, but still has that low, kind of strangely sexy thing about it. She sounded great. re: rent - midtown filming?

All this talk about multiple cast sightings, where or where is that babe magnet otherwise known as Taye Diggs?

Her voice is very pretty. It is different than Daphne's and that's going to take some getting used to. I've listened to her sing it a few times today and I'm feeling a little better about her in the role. Plus she was a complete and total sweetheart which didn't hurt. :)

No, Lizzie, it's not just you. It's kind of crazy how people are following them around the city while filming is going on. I don't understand what the big deal is and from what I've heard from one of my classmates who's been working with the tech crew, they can't wait to leave the city! In San Francisco, stalker fans will not be able to get close to where they'll be filming.

"In San Francisco, stalker fans will not be able to get close to where they'll be filming."

I hope not. I live very close to San Francisco and might be in the vicinity when they film in SOMA. I don't want to end up running into a mob of Rentheads.

I know not everyone feels that way about the "stalking." Anthony has said many of times both on this board and at shoots that he it means a lot to him to have the fans there, realizing what an impact the show and hopefully movie will have. And at least from what I can tell from the short time I was there yesterday, there didn't seem to be that many people there, though I heard some left before I got there, and there were probably less than last week, but still.

Ooh and Matt, from the 2 minutes I saw of Rosario singing on your tape in the subway station, I agree, she sounded really good.

I wouldn't call it stalking really. I mean its just a bunch of fans of RENT who want to get a peek on whats going on. It's not like there have been reports of screaming maniacs waving signs and throwing themselves at actors on the set or anything. I mean normally, I'm really not into going to sets to take a look unless I've been invited (which is very very rare) but I'm very interested in the movie so I might try to check it out when its in LA if its not too far away or closed off/indoors. As long as people aren't bothering the crew or actors and causing a fuss, I don't see what the problem is with going down and watching.

I'm sure the fans have the best intentions, and it's great that Anthony appreciates their support -- it just seems a little crazy every day to see posts here and elsewhere asking where the shoot is today, tomorrow, who did you see, what are they filming, I'm taking the day off to watch, etc...

I think it's not okay to generalize, first of all. I also think it's kind of ridiculous that people were convincing their parents to let them skip school, etc so they could go spend the day watching. It's kind of scary when people have been abandoning their lives to go every single day, but I can't say the the film crew hasn't been at least somewhat encouraging this, either. The truck drivers had been giving out locations, and they've been letting people stand around and watch. They're being understanding, but maybe a bit *too* understanding.

I was down there twice. Once legitimately, and once just because I wanted one last look. As long as you're quiet and respectful (which some of the people on set have defintely not been) it's fine. It's a pretty amazing thing to see, anyway.

*shrug* Just my two cents, obviously biased because I *did* spend time on the set.

When I went on Monday all fans there were very polite and stood out of the way. No one even took photos until people working on the set said we could without flashes. It was pretty low-key.

Yeah. I was there during their first night shoot, and it got a little nuts. There were a lot of people walking through the park and were curious, but they weren't very quiet about their curiousity. They'd literally shout "HEY! What's filming?! ANYBODY FAMOUS?!?!" There were people letting their kids stand on pillars to see (I was so afraid this kid was going to topple down to the ground and be killed) and a lot of fans who didn't understand the meaning of "be quiet, we're rolling." There was quite a bit of flash photography, even when asked not to. I mean, yes, first-night excitement, etc, but come on. They *are* working. It quieted down as the night went on, as I imagine it probably did throughout the week, but it was getting really silly already.
