does anybody know if any of the stars from RENT the movie are coming back to broadway in the future?

i already know about idina in see what i wanna see

I don't recall the name of the show, but Taye Diggs is in an off-broadway play right now. Jesse Martin is on Law & Order, so it's highly doubtful he'd be able to do it from a scheduling perspective. I don't know about the others.

It also should be pointed out that "See What I Wanna See" isn't on Broadway.

Taye Diggs is in A Soldier's Play off-Broadway at Second Stage Theatre. It closes in a few days.

Tracie Thoms right now is on "Cold Case", but I am not sure if thats a permanent thing.

I doubt they'd all come back to the actual show, maybe for a concert or a benefit show.

The original cast already said they wouldn't do it on Broadway again, but they're all performing at the 10th anniversary reunion concert.

Not from the Rent movie, but I believe I remember reading that Daphne is coming back to Broadway in the new LaChuisa musical opening at Lincoln Center next season.

They are doing the 10 year concert as stated above and tickets are like $1,000 :o( But, Idina was asked this and she said somewhere that she'd only do it if her original co-stars came with her. It would be an amazing thing to do 10 years later but, highly doubtful.

Tracie's gig with Cold Case is long-term, as far as I'm aware. I heard she'd done 4 episodes (that have yet to air?) and they ended up liking her so much that they've made her a full-time role on the show.

Doubtful that Rosario would do Mimi on Broadway. As much as I enjoyed her in the movie, her voice would never survive 8 shows a week.

greenegirl87, the people who are organizing the 10th Anniversary Benefit are not really all that concerned that Rentheads can't afford it. It isn't aimed at them, it's a benefit to raise mucho $$. :)

We're not gonna see Adam back yet, because Adam has said that he doesn't like the things being given to him as of right now, and will hold off until he finds something he loves.
