After attending Ellen Degeneres show at Davies Symphony Hall tonight I stopped by the Orpheum theatre and took in the final 20 minutes of Les Miz, courtesy of Robert, the house manager. Post-bows the cast spoke of the demise of The Queen Of Soul and her radiant talent during her time on this big, blue ball. Then, as the audience began to exit, a single candle was placed on the stage and 'retha's recording of The Dream I Dreamed was played back over the house speakers. A truly wonderful tribute.
