Ditto!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

An acquaintance is a seat filler this year. I believe she applied back in the fall of last year.

I think it's a pretty intricate process -- you even have to submit headshots. (I'm not sure about the Tonys, but it works that way on some other shows)

I filled out a form on seatfiller.com. Granted I don't know how reliable it is but its worth a shot.

The deadline for application was before the day of the nomination announcements. I believe all of the positions have been filled.

Has anyone heard back about being a seat filler for this year's Tony Awards? I applied by doing the same steps that I did last year, but perhaps something is different with the new venue. Just curious as I already found out about seat filling by this time last year.

Because there are a lot less seats, there will be a lot less seat fillers. I know they have their staff and do not need any more.
